The proposal respects the grown structure of the Villa and transforms the unique ensemble into a genuine hill of arts with few carefully targeted minimally invasive interventions. In addition to the restoration of the existing buildings, the project focuses on two interventions: firstly, the rooms under the terrace will be converted into hotel and wellness rooms, and secondly, all additionally required spaces will find room in the hill behind the already existing retaining wall with its curved niches.<\/p>\n

The visitor reaches the hotel forecourt with the adjacent reception via the existing driveway through the woods. The access to the car park is located nearby, so that the area remains free of car traffic. The spacious restaurant is located behind the reception while the ground floor of the villa is reserved for public spaces. On the upper floors and at the lower wall beneath the terrace there are the hotel rooms. The bath forms the lower end of the building. In addition to saunas and massage rooms, the bath has various pools and a large Hamam. Several saunas and special baths are located in the round walls that support the balconies of the hotel rooms above.<\/p>\n

A large event space will be located on the ground floor of Villa. Together with the small bar and the salon, it forms the public floor in the most striking building on the campus. The rooms can be used individually or in combination. From lectures and concerts to exuberant celebrations, various events can take place. The windows of the entire ground floor should be opened down to floor level in order to create a representative and flowing space.<\/p>\n

There are two types of guest rooms. On the upper floors of the villa, guests reside in eight stately suites, far above the roofs of Turin. Below the villa are the six equally spacious forest rooms, which are connected to the villa via an internal corridor. With their rather more secluded character and the view into the trees, they offer guests plenty of tranquillity while at the same time being close to the amenities of gastronomy and wellness.<\/p>\n

The cabins are free-standing small buildings that can be placed anywhere on the property. They are connected to the nearest path on the slope by a small bridge. On a slender foot a round platform offers enough space for a large bed, a toilet, a basin and a shower. A wide panoramic window offers a view of the town or the forest. The structure of the huts is made of a light wooden construction, which is infilled with glass bricks. In addition to the clear view from the window, light also falls through the semi-transparent walls and fills the huts with soft daylight. Colours, light and shadow of the surroundings are refracted in thousands of facets through the filigree wall. In the evening the huts shine like lanterns in the forest. The platform above the hut can be reached via a ladder and a roof hatch, adding another room in the fresh air to the hideaway-experience. One could read or work in seclusion, sleep outside on hot summer nights or just sit there and listen to the rain pattering down.<\/p>\n
